What kind of referrals will I get?
We get all types of requests — from requests for cease and desist letters, to debt recovery, to filing divorce petitions, to patent applications, drafting of commercial contracts, and legal services for foreign multinationals setting up their business in Nigeria. We receive a wide range of requests…and so we need lawyers that are willing and able to handle diverse cases
Can you guarantee I will get clients?
No. We cannot. All we can do is provide you with the potential clients. It’s up to the client to determine who they should hire.
What are the requirements to be a member?
You need to be at least 1-year post call, and be able to provide your Call to Bar certificate and evidence of up to date payment of NBA dues.
I am practicing outside of Lagos, can I join?
We want lawyers from all parts of the country, as we receive requests for legal services from all 36 states (and from abroad).
How much can I charge clients?
You have full discretion and control of how you set your fees, and how much you charge your clients.
Do you charge a referral fee?
We do not take a referral fee on client’s legal fees as this is in breach of the Rules of Professional Conduct 2007 for Nigerian Lawyers
Do you advertise for lawyers?
We do not engage in solicitation or advertising on behalf of any lawyers/law firms as this is in breach of the Rules of Professional Conduct 2007 for Nigerian Lawyers
